🗣️ Three types of feedback to improve your courses
By James Clear, author of Atomic Habits:
“My friend once said my feedback (about writing) always falls into three categories:
1. Make it shorter.
2. Make it more appealing.
3. How could it apply to more people?"
🥽 VR for language learning….?
The last thing I would expect to learn using a VR headset was language! It seems people are searching for this as it’s the top trending search across the VR learning topic.
📢 The concept of “learning in public”
In 2019, Shan Wang (known as Swyx) published an article about learning in public that resonated with many people. I’m a big fan of this concept, and this newsletter is part of my learning in public.
“Whatever your thing is, make the thing you wish you had found when you were learning. Don’t judge your results by “claps” or retweets or stars or upvotes - just talk to yourself from 3 months ago. I keep an almost-daily dev blog written for no one else but me.”
🚨 Before you start building a course…
Kirsten Campbell-Howes, a learning design mentor shared her take on how to start building a course on the
newsletter. She covers ✅:1. How to define learning outcomes
2. How to understand your target audience of learners
3. How to avoid common pitfalls when designing a curriculum
